The Crown: Architecture of Silent Power
A woman did not choose the moment; the moment chose her, and the crown took her name.
By Architect Imad DarouichUpdated 2 min read

This poem about Queen Elizabeth II reads the crown as a weight placed on a soul, a promise she could not escape. The palace becomes a permanent stage where every word is measured, marriage joins two states as well as two hearts, and Prince Philip waits in the shadow of the throne. Imad sees in it a life lived for a role, and a silent sacrifice.
This is not a story of a crown
This is a weight placed upon the soul
This is a promise that cannot be escaped
At the center stands Queen Elizabeth II
A woman who did not choose the moment
But the moment chose her
When the crown was placed
It was not decoration
But a chain of gold
The palace is not a home
It is a permanent stage
Every word is measured
Every silence is a decision
Love here is not free
It is negotiation
Marriage is not just two hearts
But two states
The prince stands in the shadow
Prince Philip
A man who wants to be more
But the throne does not allow
Politics creeps in
With deadly calm
Every decision shakes the world
But no one sees the pain
The crown does not only rule
It consumes
It takes the name
And reshapes the human
In the end
The person does not remain
The role remains
The symbol remains
And here lies the tragedy
To live
But not for yourself
To love
But not freely
This is not glory
This is silent sacrifice
This is a throne of gold
Built upon a human heart
