Infinity: The Spirit of Architecture
In the heart of Jakarta, a building of glass and concrete grows like an unseen tree and asks whether we built it or it built us.
By Architect Imad DarouichUpdated 3 min read

This Jakarta architecture poem moves through a building called Infinity in short titled stations, from the birth of the idea to the dance of its lines, its glass facade and its open interiors. Imad asks whether emptiness is silence or hidden fullness, whether the future is a place or an idea, and whether we built the building or it built us.
In the heart of Jakarta, beneath a still sun
A tree unseen began to grow
Not a tree, but an idea taking form
Of glass and concrete breathing time
The Birth of the Infinite
What does it mean to build without end?
To carve a dream until it becomes a place
To turn imagination into transparent reality
Between Thought and Reality
The building does not begin, nor end
It exists between what is thought and what is built
Where time dissolves within itself
Lines Dancing in the Void
Lines do not bend, do not break
They extend as if searching for themselves
They dance in a space without limits
Glass: A Visible Spirit
The façade glimmers like a breathing being
It shines and fades with every moment
It hides nothing, it never closes
Spaces: Empty or Full?
Is emptiness silence, or hidden fullness?
Is it light passing through shadows?
Or a horizon expanding within the human?
Freedom Within Walls
No walls limit you, no ceiling confines you
You move as if in a shoreless sea
Where thought flows without obstruction
The Question of Eternity
Do we truly know what eternity is?
Is it between dream and place?
Or in the details we fail to see?
A City Within a Structure
The building is not form, but life
It is chaos, light, and shadow
It is the moment where dream meets reality
The Whisper Within
The interiors speak in silence
Every step returns you to yourself
Every thought opens a new question
The River That Never Stops
The building does not rest, it flows
Every corner is a path toward the future
Every moment is a new beginning
The Future: Place or Idea?
Is the future a place we reach?
Or a moment we live now?
Or a reflection of what we wish to become?
Interacting with the World
The building does not observe, it participates
It breathes with us, lives with us
As we are part of this universe
The Final Question
Did we build it?
Or did it build us?
Are we the walls, or what they contain?
Infinity: Within and Beyond
Infinity is not only in space
But in the soul that cannot be measured
In the question that never ends
Conclusion: Dancing Within Infinity
We do not stand still, we move
No beginning we know, no end we grasp
We exist within motion, within time
Within infinity… within Infinity
