In this Ibn Arabi poem, Imad follows the Sufi master Muhammad ibn Ali Ibn Arabi from his birth in Murcia, in al-Andalus, in 1165 to his death in Damascus in 1240. It names the cities of his travels and two of his best-known books, the Meccan Revelations (al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya) and the Bezels of Wisdom (Fusus al-Hikam). He was buried in the Salihiyya quarter, on the slopes of Mount Qasioun.
