Ten chapters follow the architect Yona Friedman from Budapest, where he was born in 1923, through mobile architecture, the Ville Spatiale raised above the existing city, the Flatwriter, Space Chains and the 2016 Serpentine Summer House, reading his work as a long effort to hand the design of cities to the people who live in them.
