The Whitney Museum: When the City Became a Gallery

متحف ويتني: حين أصبحت المدينة معرضًا

By Architect Imad Darouich

Ten chapters follow a fictional architecture student, Lina Murad, through the Whitney Museum of American Art, from Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney's founding in 1930 and the Breuer building to Renzo Piano's 2015 building beside the High Line and the Hudson: its column-free galleries, outdoor terraces and stairs, the Biennial and the city framed as art.
